Shalimar Spice Garden, Thekadi

Away from the heat and humidity of Kerala set at a height of 800mts is the Shalimar Spice Garden at the edge of Periyer Tiger Reserve. The cottages are straw covered which gives it a typical village look. The restaurant has a comfortable atmosphere and the swimming pool has a traditional touch and is suited to the climatic conditions. This place is also equipped with a library.

The restaurant has a traditional look of the 20 th century and a homely atmosphere. The cottages and the rooms had been made of traditional country material and the bathrooms are spotlessly designed that are lavish in looks.

The resort is located at a distance of 8kms from Thekkady, called Murikkady on the outskirts of the famous tiger reserve and is 100kms from Kottayam Railway Station.
