Sulthan Bathery, is a picturesque town in the Wayanad district of Kerala state of India. Ganapathivatom, become the present Sultan Bathery after the invasion of Tipu Sulthan of Mysore in 18th century. Tipu Sultan used the famous Jain temple as his battery. The history behind this place is that in 18th Century Tipu Sultan captured the Jain temple here and modified the temple into his battery, hence it is also called Sultan's battery.
